Actress and classical dancer Sudha Chandran opened up about her remarkable journey of courage and determination on an upcoming episode of ‘Tum Ho Naa-Ghar Ki Superstar’, hosted by Rajeev Khandelwal on Sony.

According to a SET press release, during the show, Sudha recalled the tragic accident she suffered at the age of 15, which resulted in the amputation of her leg due to gangrene. She said that while the incident shattered many of her dreams, she was determined not to give up on life.

Sharing her experience, Sudha revealed that she had decided to make a comeback soon after her surgery, even though she did not know how she would achieve it. Her life took a positive turn when she was fitted with the Jaipur Foot, developed by renowned doctors Dr. P. K. Sethi and Dr. D. R. Mehta.

Sudha also spoke about the challenges she faced after the accident. many people advised her to focus on academics instead of dance, believing her dancing career was over, she refused to let circumstances define her future.

The actress shared that after three years of hard work and dedication, she returned to the stage in 1984. recalling an emotional moment from her comeback performance, Sudha said her father touched her feet after the show. when she asked why, he told her he was bowing not to his daughter but to the spirit and strength he saw in her.

Host Rajeev Khandelwal praised Sudha’s resilience and highlighted that her inspiring life story has been included in school textbooks across India, motivating generations of students. Sudha also remembered a conversation with Dr. P. K. Sethi, who once encouraged her to believe that she could dance again. according to Sudha, that one positive response became a turning point in her life and gave her the confidence to pursue her dream.
