Payal Dhare, popularly known as Payal Gaming, is set to make her reality television debut with ‘Alliance’, Prime Video’s upcoming global reality series hosted by actor Kunal Kemmu. The move marks a significant milestone for one of India’s most prominent gaming creators as she expands her presence from the digital gaming world into mainstream entertainment.
According to a Prime Video press release, Payal will participate in the competition alongside actress and content creator Sabby Suri. Produced by Banijay Asia, ‘Alliance’ is the first international adaptation of a Dutch reality format created by John de Mol and Talpa Studios. The series will premiere on Prime Video on June 26 and will be available across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The reality show will feature 42 episodes released daily over six weeks, making it Prime Video’s first-ever daily reality series globally. The competition brings together 16 contestants who enter the game as pairs and navigate a world of shifting alliances, strategic gameplay and unexpected betrayals as they compete to remain in the contest.
Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, who is making his reality-show hosting debut, ‘Alliance’ features an eclectic mix of personalities from television, entertainment and the digital creator ecosystem. Participants include actors, influencers and content creators such as Ravi Kishan, Daisy Shah, Ruhee Dosani and several other well-known names.
Payal’s participation highlights the growing influence of gaming creators in India’s broader entertainment industry. Over the years, she has emerged as one of the most recognisable faces in Indian gaming and content creation, building a massive fan base through her livestreams and gaming content.
In 2024, she became the first Indian female gamer to win an international award after being named ‘Streamer of the Year’ at the MOBIES Awards in Los Angeles. She was also the only female gamer invited to participate in the gaming roundtable hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, further cementing her position as a leading voice in India’s gaming community.
Today, Payal commands a strong digital presence with more than 4.68 million subscribers on YouTube and over 5.2 million followers on Instagram. As a creator associated with S8UL Esports, she has played a key role in the growth of India’s gaming and esports ecosystem.
Speaking about joining the show, Payal said ‘Alliance’ presents a completely new challenge that takes her beyond the world of gaming and content creation. She described the experience as both exciting and nerve-wracking and expressed hope that her community would enjoy seeing a different side of her personality.
Her entry into ‘Alliance’ reflects a broader trend where gaming creators are increasingly finding opportunities in mainstream entertainment, helping bridge the gap between digital-first audiences and traditional media formats.
As India’s creator economy continues to expand, Payal’s transition from gaming influencer to reality show contestant underscores the growing cultural relevance of gaming personalities and their ability to connect with audiences across multiple entertainment platforms.
