Actor and host Rajeev Khandelwal opened up about the challenges he faced while pursuing his acting career in an upcoming episode of ‘Tum Ho Naa-Ghar Ki Superstar’. During an emotional conversation with contestant Priya and her family, the host revealed that his parents were initially not supportive of his dream of becoming an actor.
The discussion began when Priya shared her journey of becoming a successful Bollywood background dancer despite facing opposition from her father in the early years. She, according to a Sony Entertainment TV press release, said her father was unsure about dance as a career option. But his perspective changed after witnessing her success and professional growth.
Priya’s mother also revealed that she has worked with some of Bollywood’s biggest stars in songs, including Madhuri Dixit in ‘Ghagra’, Kareena Kapoor in ‘Fevicol Se’ and Deepika Padukone in ‘Deewani Mastani’.
Speaking about the contribution of background dancers, Khandelwal praised their hard work and dedication, calling them the unsung heroes behind many memorable performances. The conversation took a personal turn when he reflected on his own struggles.
He shared that his parents did not support his decision to enter the entertainment industry at first. According to him, their opinion changed only after they saw his commitment and determination towards acting.
Priya’s father also admitted that he had doubts about his daughter’s career choice but now feels proud of her achievements and fully supports her. The emotional exchange highlighted the importance of perseverance and how families often come to understand and support their children’s dreams after seeing their dedication and success.
