Warner Bros is reportedly working on a new animated feature film based on the popular series ‘The Powerpuff Girls’. the project is currently in the early development stage, which means the film is still being planned. at this point, it has not moved into production, and many important details are still not decided. the studio has not yet revealed information such as the storyline, voice cast, director, or release date. more official updates are expected in the future as the project progresses.
According to an ANI report, the film will bring back the beloved superhero trio Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. these characters are known for their unique powers and teamwork as they protect the fictional city of Townsville from villains. the original animated series became very popular on Cartoon Network and is still remembered by fans worldwide.
Over the years, ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ franchise has been revived and reimagined multiple times. It previously had a theatrical animated film released in 2002, and there were also later reboot attempts, including both animated and live-action versions, though not all of them were completed or successful.
Now, Warner Bros is again looking to expand the franchise with a new big-screen animated version, aiming to introduce the characters to both old fans and a new generation of viewers.
However, since the film is still in early development, nothing is confirmed beyond the fact that the project is being worked on. the studio has not shared any production timeline yet.
