Production house Banijay Asia has announced its latest reality show, ‘Second Love’, a relationship-based series that will be hosted by acclaimed actor Ramya Krishnan. The Tamil-language reality show is set to premiere on JioHotstar.
Designed around themes of healing, self-discovery and new beginnings, ‘Second Love’ will feature 12 single contestants who have previously experienced heartbreak and unsuccessful relationships. The series will explore whether they are ready to move beyond their past and embrace the possibility of finding love again, PTI reported.
According to the makers, the contestants will participate in a series of emotional conversations, interactive activities and carefully curated experiences aimed at helping them reflect on their previous relationships. Through the journey, participants will be encouraged to confront emotional baggage, rebuild confidence and open themselves to forming meaningful new connections.
With relationship-based reality content continuing to attract strong viewer interest, ‘Second Love’ seeks to offer a more emotional and introspective approach to the genre by focusing on personal growth alongside romance.
The show also marks another significant reality television venture for Ramya Krishnan, who enjoys immense popularity across South India and is known for her impactful performances in both television and cinema.
Backed by Banijay Asia, one of India’s leading content production companies, ‘Second Love’ is expected to bring a fresh perspective to reality programming by exploring the complexities of love, loss and second chances.
The makers are expected to reveal additional details about the contestants, format and premiere date in the coming weeks.
