Abhay Ojha has been named as Chief Executive Officer of Zee Media Corporation (ZMCL), the company said in a regulatory filing.
Ojha’s appointment was formalised after the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting gave the necessary clearances as mandated under rules.
In February, the company informed the BSE that it had reviewed Ojha’s candidature for the position of CEO and advised the management to file the requisite application with the MIB.
The company said in a BSE filing, “Abhay Ojha is appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (designated as Key Managerial Personnel) of the Company, with effect from May 2, 2023, at such remuneration and terms as approved by Board.”
Ojha presently serves as the company’s Chief Business Officer (CBO).
He has over 20 years of expertise in Media Broadcast, Digital Transformation, Short Video Applications, Social Commerce and Digital Distribution, FMCG, and Home Shopping.

In November 2022, ZMCL appointed Ojha as its Chief Business Officer.
