ZEE5 has released the official trailer of its upcoming Hindi non-fiction reality dating series ‘Andha Pyaar 2.0’, further expanding its Hindi Originals slate in the non-fiction space. The trailer offers a glimpse into conversations, unexpected twists and emotional moments, hinting at a format designed especially for Gen Z audiences and digital-first viewers.
The show brings together singles in an unusual dating environment where they form connections without seeing each other, placing emotional compatibility ahead of physical appearance. Conceptualised by Vivek Samtani and Kaustubh Agarwal, the series also introduces a panel of commentators who observe the participants in real time, offering humorous takes and social observations on how the relationships unfold.
Speaking about the launch, Kaveri Das, Business Head Hindi ZEE5 and Chief Channel Officer of &TV, said the platform’s content expansion strategy continues to be driven by audience insights. She noted that Hindi viewers have shown strong engagement with reality-led and simulcast formats such as ‘IdeaBaaz’, indicating a growing openness to non-fiction storytelling alongside scripted drama.
Das added that with ‘Andha Pyaar 2.0’, the platform is stepping more decisively into the non-fiction reality genre. According to her, the show challenges first impressions and places emotional connection at the centre of modern dating while blending humour, honesty and commentary that resonates with younger, digitally native audiences. She also noted that the title reflects the platform’s effort to diversify its Hindi Originals lineup while remaining rooted in relatable experiences.
Sharing his perspective on the format, Samtani described ‘Andha Pyaar 2.0’ as “dating without filters,” where moments can be emotional, awkward, funny and sometimes brutally honest. He said the panel’s reactions are designed not just for humour but also to reflect what viewers at home might be thinking as the relationships evolve.
Agarwal added that the show acts as a mirror to modern relationships, capturing attraction, insecurity, jealousy and the many grey areas that define contemporary dating. According to him, the panel functions like an unfiltered group chat—sometimes supportive, sometimes savage, but always honest—making the experience unpredictable and entertaining.
Blending dating, commentary and social observation, ‘Andha Pyaar 2.0’ promises a mix of humour and drama. The trailer positions the show as part of the platform’s Originals lineup scheduled for early 2026.
