Zee Telugu is set to bring back its flagship celebration of womanhood with the 2026 edition of the Apsara Awards, which will air on Saturday, May 30 at 5.30 pm. The special television event promises an evening packed with glamour, performances, emotional moments, and tributes to women achievers from different walks of life.

The awards night will open with an energetic act by popular anchors Pradeep Machiraju and Sudigaali Sudheer, followed by a grand ramp walk featuring the Zee Telugu Apsaras. The channel has lined up several performances by actors and celebrities including Neha Shetty, former Miss India Manasa Varanasi, Khaty, and well-known television stars, adding entertainment and festive energy to the celebration.

Music and dance are expected to remain central to the evening, with a musical medley by Pradeep, Yashmi, and Navya Swami, along with a special dance act featuring Sudheer and Kavya. The event will also feature couple performances, nostalgic recreations of iconic cinema moments, and emotional segments celebrating the many roles women play in society.

One of the major highlights of Apsara Awards 2026 will be the ‘Ammavaru’ performance, which portrays different forms of womanhood through divine avatars including Durga, Kali, and Ardhanarishwara. The act is designed to celebrate women’s resilience, strength, and nurturing spirit through mythology-inspired storytelling and performance.

The evening will honour several personalities from the Telugu film industry and beyond. Veteran stars Jayasudha and Jayaprada, along with actors including Bhumika Chawla, Meena, Raashi Khanna, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Nivetha Thomas, Pragathi, and others, are expected to be part of the celebrations.

In one of the evening’s inspiring moments, Squadron Leader Ragi Ramachandran will receive the Nari Shakti Award in recognition of her achievements and contribution. Another emotional segment will see veteran actresses Jayasudha and Jayaprada jointly presenting the Mathru Murthy Award to 92-year-old practicing doctor Dr. Suri Srimathi for her lifetime dedication to healthcare and service.

Adding a nostalgic flavour to the event, contestants from Drama Juniors will recreate memorable scenes from celebrated films, paying tribute to iconic cinema moments and stars that continue to resonate with audiences across generations.
