Zee Kannada is set to strengthen its weekend entertainment slate with the launch of its new non-fiction show ‘Jodi No.1’, which will premiere on April 4 at 9pm. The show brings together celebrity couples in a format that celebrates love, compatibility, and relationships through a mix of engaging and entertaining challenges.
According to a Zee Kannada press release, ‘Jodi No.1’ is designed as a family entertainer, blending emotion, humour, and relatable moments. The format will see both established and emerging celebrity couples participate in a series of tasks aimed at testing their understanding, coordination, and emotional connection, making it a well-rounded offering for viewers across age groups.
The show will be judged by a diverse panel featuring veteran actress and politician Malavika Avinash, popular on-screen duo Rajesh Nataranga and Chaya Singh, along with actor Nenapirali Prem. Their combined experience is expected to add both insight and entertainment value, as they evaluate performances while also sharing perspectives on relationships.
Hosting duties will be handled by the popular duo Kuri Pratap and Shwetha Changappa, whose on-screen chemistry and comic timing are expected to enhance the show’s overall appeal. Their presence is likely to keep the tone lively and engaging throughout the episodes.
The show will feature a varied lineup of celebrity couples, including Rudra Master–Niriksha, Rajani–Arun Gowda, Dhanraj–Prajna, Balu Belagundi–Malashree, Nayana Nagaraj–Suhas, Mimicry Gopi–Usharani, Jaggappa–Sushmita, Kote Prabhakar–Malathi, Geetha Bharathi Bhat–Rajaram Bhat, and Abhilash–Apoorva.
With a mix of dance performances, skits, compatibility games, and surprise challenges, Jodi No.1 aims to offer a complete entertainment package. The inclusion of rapid-fire rounds and situational tasks is expected to bring out how well couples understand and support each other, adding depth to the format.
The launch of ‘Jodi No.1’ underscores Zee Kannada’s continued focus on high-engagement, family-oriented programming, positioning the show as a key addition to its weekend lineup.
