Zee Ganga, a premium GEC channel owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, is about to launch its latest original family entertainment series, ‘Tikuli-Suhagin Ya Abhagin’.
Zee Ganga, the only Bhojpuri channel to cater to original Bhojpuri shows, brings a first-of-its-kind curated storyline that promises to captivate audiences from the pilot episode. The show will premiere on March 14 at 8.30 pm in primetime.
Following the phenomenal success of the Bhojpuri show ‘Acharva Chhathi Maayi Ke’, the channel brings another curated offering inspired by one of Bihar’s Darbhanga region’s most popular folktales.
The show is centered on the village of Nehra (Madhubani, Bihar), the only place in India where people’s kitchens face south, defying Vastu Shastra because they were blessed by a Chudail, according to a popular folktale that is still revered in the region.
The plot revolves around a family who discovers their bahu (daughter-in-law) is a Chudail (witch) with special boons that benefit not only the family but the entire village.
The show depicts every woman’s struggle with stereotyped gender-biased tagging in her daily life by capturing the journey of a bahu (daughter-in-law) becoming a beti (daughter). The story’s core values and takeaways will be emotions, love, uniqueness, and curiosity, making it a compelling watch for viewers.
