Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEEL) has announced the appointment of Ashwin Gargava as the new Head of its Direct-To-Home (DTH) business, reinforcing its commitment to sharpening focus and enhancing efficiency across its distribution verticals.
A seasoned media executive with over two decades of experience, Gargava’s elevation marks a strategic step by ZEEL to streamline operations and strengthen its presence in the DTH segment. His role will involve managing key partnerships, overseeing major accounts, and ensuring the smooth execution of both internal and external collaborations.
According to a LinkedIn post, Gargava’s leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting the broader strategic objectives of the Affiliate Sales team — a key driver in the company’s growth trajectory across the pay-TV and satellite TV landscape.
Gargava took to LinkedIn to share the news of his new role, writing, “Thrilled to share that I’m entrusted with an expanded role as Head of the DTH Business! I’m looking forward to collaborating on enhancing our focus and operational efficiency in this vertical, supporting the strategic vision of our Affiliate Sales team.”
Since joining Zee in 2015, Gargava has held several leadership roles, rising through the ranks by spearheading affiliate support functions and nurturing strategic partnerships that contributed to ZEEL’s long-term growth. His proven track record in the M&E sector is backed by stints at marquee names including HBO, where he served as Associate Director of International Business, and Fox International Channels, where he managed network placement. He began his media career with Magna Publishing as an executive in the subscription division.
Gargava’s deep understanding of India’s rapidly evolving media distribution ecosystem is expected to further strengthen Zee’s relationship with its DTH partners and ensure delivery excellence across operations.
