Yupp Video Services (YVS), the B2B technology arm of YuppTV and a global provider of white-label OTT platforms, has partnered with Chaupal to support the regional streamer’s next phase of expansion with a full technology upgrade across more than 25 devices.
The collaboration marks a major milestone for the Punjabi, Haryanvi, and Bhojpuri-focused OTT platform as it modernises its backend infrastructure and enhances app performance and personalisation capabilities.
According to Yupp Video press release, Chaupal undertook a complete overhaul of its technology stack after three years of rapid scale. The platform required a future-ready, robust foundation capable of supporting its growing subscriber base without compromising experience or reliability. YVS built a fully customised tech instance tailored to Chaupal’s market needs, combining the network’s regional understanding with YVS’s expertise in OTT engineering, cloud playout, and streaming technology.
As part of the upgrade, YVS introduced faster, high-performance apps, improved video playback, and continuous platform optimisation. The new ecosystem includes AI-powered content recommendations designed to enhance user personalisation and AI-driven operational monitoring for proactive quality control. In what the teams described as a significant technical achievement, YVS also completed the seamless migration of 10 million Chaupal users with zero subscriber loss and without any disruption in service.
Uday Reddy, Founder & CEO of Yupp Video Services, said the partnership was shaped by Chaupal’s clear objective of scaling without losing the simplicity that resonates with regional audiences. “Most of the heavy lifting involved creating custom solutions for their regional markets, optimising the experience across devices, and ensuring the migration of millions of users happened flawlessly. We’re proud of what this partnership has achieved and excited for the roadmap ahead,” he said.
Chaupal’s CTO Gurjit Singh emphasised that technology remains central to their growth strategy. “We wanted a platform that reflects who we are — rooted, diverse, and constantly growing — yet competitive at a global level. YVS understood that and built a system that is stronger, faster, and more aligned with how our audiences consume content today. The transition was seamless, and the performance gains are already visible,” he said.
With YVS now managing Chaupal’s backend, cloud infrastructure, and wide device ecosystem, the platform is positioned to scale rapidly and introduce new features with greater agility. The upgrade strengthens Chaupal’s ability to deliver high-quality, multilingual entertainment to Punjabi, Haryanvi, and Bhojpuri viewers worldwide while maintaining a consistent and premium user experience.
