Yami Gautam Dhar’s upcoming fantasy family entertainer ‘Nayyi Navelli’ is set to release in theatres across India on October 16. The makers announced the release date yesterday, with the film scheduled to arrive during the Dussehra festival.
According to a PTI report from Mumbai, the film is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow and is directed by Balaji Mohan.
Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma have written the screenplay, while G V Prakash Kumar has composed the music.
Set in Meerut, ‘Nayyi Navelli’ revolves around a seemingly perfect bride, played by Yami. After entering a family that is already dealing with its own problems, she appears to bring happiness, peace and positivity to the household.
However, things take an unexpected turn when her brother-in-law starts becoming suspicious of her. He begins to believe that the seemingly ideal woman may actually be a daayan or a witch.
The film appears to mix fantasy and family entertainment with a mysterious storyline.
