WPP, a global leader in communications services, yesterday announced the appointment of Andrew Scott as an Executive Director to the company’s Board, effective immediately.
Andrew Scott, who has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at WPP, joined the company in 1999 as Director of Corporate Development.
Over his 24-year tenure, he has held various senior leadership positions, including COO for Europe, before being elevated to the position of global COO in 2018, the company said in a statement.
Roberto Quarta, Chairman of WPP, commented on the appointment, “Andrew brings to the Board a deep understanding of our business from his 24 years with WPP and the significant contribution he has made to our success during that time.”
Mark Read, Chief Executive Officer of WPP, added, “This appointment recognizes the key role that Andrew plays in the company and the importance of continuously improving our operational effectiveness.”
Andrew Scott’s appointment underscores WPP’s commitment to enhancing its leadership team and strengthening its operational capabilities as it continues to evolve in the rapidly changing communications industry.
