Meta‘s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, revealed an exciting development for WhatsApp users: the introduction of video messages within the platform. This new feature enables users to create and share short, personal videos directly in their WhatsApp chats.
Zuckerberg explained that WhatsApp’s voice messages had already revolutionized communication, providing a quick and secure way to share one’s voice. Now, the addition of instant video messages takes this functionality to a whole new level. Users can record and share video messages in real-time, responding to chats with whatever they want to convey, all within a 60-second timeframe, Whatsapp reported.
Sending a video message is as easy as sending a voice message; with a simple tap, users can switch to video mode and hold to record their message. When a video is opened in a chat, it will automatically play on mute, and users can tap on it to activate the sound.
One crucial aspect emphasized by the company is the security of these video messages. They are protected with end-to-end encryption, ensuring that users’ messages remain secure and private.
The rollout of video messages has already commenced, and WhatsApp users can expect to access this feature in the coming weeks. This exciting update is set to enhance communication within the platform, providing a dynamic and engaging way for users to interact with each other.
