‘Wednesday’, an American coming-of-age supernatural comedy horror television series, is now Netflix‘s third most popular English-language TV series ever, trailing only ‘Stranger Things 4’ and ‘DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’.
The series has been seen by nearly 115 mn households worldwide since its debut (752.25 mn hours viewed divided by 6.8 hours).
According to Deadline, ‘Wednesday’ topped the weekly Top 10 English TV List for the second week in a row, with 411.29 mn hours viewed, breaking its previous week’s record of 341.23 mn hours viewed.
The series was also number one in 89 countries.
Jenna Ortega plays the title character, and the series also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Fred Armisen, and Christina Ricci in supporting roles.
Tim Burton, who also serves as executive producer, directs four of the eight episodes.
It follows the titular character from The Addams Family, Wednesday Addams, as she attempts to solve a monster mystery at her school.
‘Wednesday’ has also had a significant cultural impact on entertainment, the internet, music, fashion, and beauty, as fans can’t get enough of the show.
