Network18 Media & Investments Limited has appointed Vipin Ramachandran as Lead Marketing – South, further strengthening its regional marketing leadership as the media group sharpens its focus on platform-led growth and brand-driven audience engagement across markets.
The appointment was announced through a LinkedIn post update, highlighting Network18’s intent to deepen its consumer connect in South India at a time when television, digital, and emerging content platforms are becoming increasingly integrated. Ramachandran’s role will centre on driving cohesive brand and marketing strategies across the group’s southern portfolio.
Ramachandran joins Network18 from Sony Pictures Networks India, where he served as Senior Manager – Brand Marketing for Sony LIV. In this role, he was responsible for brand building and audience growth for the streaming platform in a highly competitive OTT landscape, contributing to its positioning and expansion across multiple content genres and markets.
With over 13 years of experience across media, entertainment, digital platforms, retail, and agency environments, Ramachandran brings a strong mix of strategic thinking and on-ground execution. His career has spanned brand marketing, sales, and media planning, giving him a comprehensive understanding of how audiences, platforms, and advertisers intersect.
Prior to Sony LIV, he worked on the IKEA India mandate at Mindshare, where he led media-driven marketing initiatives aimed at scaling both the retailer’s offline presence and its e-commerce business. Earlier, at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, he was a Senior Brand Manager and part of the core team that launched the Malayalam general entertainment channel ZEE Keralam, playing a key role in establishing the brand in a competitive regional television market.
He began his career on the advertising sales side, with stints at leading regional media groups such as Mathrubhumi and Malayala Manorama Television, where he built a strong foundation in client partnerships and revenue-led media strategies.
In his new role at Network18, Ramachandran will be responsible for steering brand and marketing initiatives across the company’s South India portfolio, with a focus on strengthening audience engagement and accelerating growth across television, digital, and emerging content platforms.
