Telecom operator Vi is bringing the festive spirit of Ganeshotsav closer to its users by offering live darshan of puja pandals and temples through its content and OTT aggregator platform, Vi Movies & TV app. In partnership with Shemaroo, the service will provide devotees an opportunity to experience the grandeur of the celebrations from the comfort of their homes.
According to a press release, users will be able to view live darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai’s most famous Ganpati pandal, along with the revered Asthavinayak temples across Maharashtra. The lineup includes temples such as Shree Mayureshwar Ganpati Temple in Morgaon, Pune, Siddhivinayak Temple at Siddhatek, Ahmednagar, Shree Mahaganpati at Ranjangaon, and Shree Chintamani Vinayak Temple at Theur, among others. While the live streaming of puja pandals will continue until September 6, the darshan of Asthavinayak temples will remain available throughout the year on the Vi Movies & TV app.
The service officially begins on August 27, ensuring that devotees, regardless of distance, can connect with the celebrations during the 10-day festival. In addition, Vi has extended this offering offline by arranging live streaming of Lalbaugcha Raja on LED screens at select Vi stores across Mumbai. The in-store initiative is designed to let visitors, whether they are seeking a new Vi 5G connection or resolving service queries, take a moment to pause and pay their respects in a serene environment.
The stores chosen for this initiative include locations in Bandra, Borivali, Andheri, Kandivali, Prabhadevi, Parel, Thane, Dombivli, Malad, and Seawoods, among others. Each of these outlets will screen the live darshan throughout the day, creating a devotional atmosphere for Mumbaikars in the heart of the city.
Alongside the spiritual experience, Vi Movies & TV continues to offer its subscribers access to over 20 popular OTT platforms such as Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, Shemaroo and more, all bundled under a single recharge starting at Rs.149.
By combining tradition with technology, Vi’s collaboration with Shemaroo ensures that the essence of Ganeshotsav reaches households and devotees far and wide, while also enriching its digital offerings for customers.
