Prime Video is gearing up to bring audiences an action-packed thriller this October with ‘Play Dirty’, starring Hollywood heavyweight Mark Wahlberg in the lead. The film, directed by Shane Black, will stream globally on the platform from October 1, 2025.
The movie follows Parker (Wahlberg), an expert thief who sets out to pull off the biggest heist of his life. Alongside Grofield (LaKeith Stanfield), Zen (Rosa Salazar), and a sharp crew, Parker stumbles onto a score that unexpectedly entangles them with the New York mob. What follows is a gritty, fast-paced game of survival, deception, and high-stakes action.
The star-studded ensemble also features Keegan-Michael Key, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff, Thomas Jane, and Tony Shalhoub in pivotal roles. Blending Black’s signature mix of razor-sharp wit and high-octane storytelling, the film promises a clever caper designed to keep audiences on edge.
Play Dirty is written by Shane Black, Charles Mondry, and Anthony Bagarozzi, and is based on the “Parker” book series by Richard Stark. The film is produced by Jules Daly, Marc Toberoff, and James W. Skotchdopole, with Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr. among its executive producers.
The two-hour film (runtime: 125 minutes) has been rated R for its gritty action sequences and intense storytelling.
Prime Video has released the official teaser trailer and stills from the film, giving fans a first look into the high-octane world of Parker and his crew.
