NDTV, a leading news broadcaster, has appointed Venkat Pochiraju as the Regional Head – South (Special Projects), effective immediately. Pochiraju brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the General Manager and Region Head – South at Times Network.
In his capacity as Regional Head – South (Special Projects), Pochiraju will oversee the sales of new and existing intellectual properties, brand solutions, and media partnerships across NDTV’s news channels and digital platforms. He will report directly to Gaurav Kumar Dewani, who leads revenue for special projects at NDTV.
Expressing his excitement for the opportunity, Pochiraju announced his new position on LinkedIn. Prior to joining NDTV, he held various roles at Times Network and RED FM, showcasing his versatile experience in the media industry. His career journey includes significant contributions at Sony Pictures Network India, 9X Media Pvt. Ltd, and GroupM, among others.
With a remarkable tenure spanning over 19 years in the media landscape, Pochiraju has established himself as a dynamic Sales Leader. His track record exemplifies his ability to drive revenue growth, ensure client satisfaction, and deliver innovative solutions. Pochiraju’s expertise encompasses advertising sales, media buying, IP sales, branded content, and new business development across diverse genres and markets.
Pochiraju’s appointment underscores NDTV’s commitment to enhancing its regional presence and bolstering its special projects division.
