‘The Leaders of Road Transport Awards’ S2, held on August 9, 2024, at the prestigious Imperial Hotel in Janpath, brought together the best and brightest in the Indian road transport and logistics sector. Organized by TV9 Network in collaboration with Continental Tires, this event has become a significant platform for honoring outstanding achievements while driving dialogue on the industry’s future.
Graced by the Chief Guest, Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, the ceremony was a grand celebration of innovation, road safety, and sustainability. The event featured three pivotal panel discussions addressing the sector’s evolution. Topics ranged from India’s ambitious logistical advancements to improving profitability through road safety measures, the network said in a statement
The minister emphasized the critical importance of road safety, stating, “With India accounting for over 10% of global road accidents, it is imperative that leaders in the transport sector prioritize safety and leverage cutting-edge technology.”
The event also honored key industry figures, including Jasveer Singh of Instant Transport Solution Pvt Ltd / XP India and Minal Mehta of Mile Trade, recognized as Young Business Leaders. The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year category celebrated trailblazers such as Sakshi Singh of Santosh Gill Earth Movers Pvt Ltd and Reema Jogani of Reema Transport Pvt Ltd for their groundbreaking contributions in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
In addition, the Business Person of the Year award was jointly presented to Anand Sankeshwar of VRL Logistics Limited and Mahendra Shah of V-Trans India Ltd, while Ashok Shah of V-Trans India Ltd received the Lifetime Achievement Samman.
The awards also paid tribute to the late Shri Jai Kishan Sharma of Chetak Logistics, posthumously honoring his legacy in the transport sector.
With its powerful recognition of industry giants and roundtable discussions fostering meaningful conversations, the Leaders of Road Transport Awards Season 2 has cemented its role as a leader in road transport excellence in India.
