Truecaller, the Swedish software giant known for its caller identification and spam-blocking technology, has appointed Rishit Jhunjhunwala, the current Chief Product Officer, as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Jhunjhunwala, who has been with Truecaller since 2015 and also serves as Managing Director of Truecaller India, will assume his new role on January 9, 2025, following the departure of current CEO Alan Mamedi.
Co-founders Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam revealed in a letter that they would step back from day-to-day operations by June 30, 2025, to focus on the company’s long-term strategic vision as board members and advisors. This leadership shift aims to empower the executive team to lead Truecaller’s growth independently.
