Truecaller, the Swedish caller identification app, has introduced its AI and ML-powered ‘Assistant’ service in India to assist users in filtering out spam calls effectively.
The Truecaller Assistant acts as a customizable, interactive digital receptionist, answering calls on behalf of the user and helping them avoid unwanted callers.
With quick and highly accurate responses, the Assistant provides users with live transcriptions of the caller’s speech, along with their identity and the reason for the call.
This feature allows users to make informed decisions about whether to take the call, request more information from the caller with a simple tap, or classify it as spam, the Economic Times reported.
The Truecaller Assistant is being offered as a free 14-day trial. After the trial period, users can opt for the Truecaller Premium Assistant plan starting at Rs 149 per month (Rs 99 during a limited-period promotion).
