Toonz Media Group has launched its dedicated FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming Television) channel MyToonz on LG Electronics India smart TVs, marking a key step in strengthening its direct-to-consumer distribution strategy.
According to a Toonz Media Group press release, highlighting the company’s focus on tapping into the fast-growing connected TV ecosystem by delivering curated animated content directly to Indian households.
Currently available exclusively on LG smart TVs across India, MyToonz is powered by Amagi, a leading cloud-based technology provider specialising in FAST and connected TV solutions. The partnership enables scalable distribution and monetisation through a cloud-native infrastructure, positioning the channel for future expansion.
The launch reflects Toonz’s broader content distribution roadmap, with plans already in motion to expand the service across Southeast Asian markets such as Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, followed by potential rollouts in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
MyToonz offers a curated slate of family-friendly animated programming drawn from Toonz’s extensive catalogue. The lineup includes globally recognised and culturally rooted titles such as ‘Gummy Bear’ and ‘Friends’, ‘Zoonicorn’, ‘Darwin & Newts’, ‘Tenali Raman’, and ‘Hanuman’, reinforcing the company’s focus on safe and engaging content for younger audiences.
Commenting on the launch, Viswanath Rao of Toonz Media Group said the initiative is a strategic response to evolving viewing habits, combining storytelling with smarter distribution. He noted that the company aims to play a leading role in shaping the FAST ecosystem, particularly in children’s entertainment.
Srividhya Srinivasan, Co-founder and CTO at Amagi, added that the collaboration brings together Toonz’s content strengths with scalable, broadcast-grade technology, enabling efficient delivery and monetisation of curated programming.
From LG’s perspective, the addition of MyToonz further strengthens its FAST channel portfolio in India. Brian Jung, Director, Media Entertainment Solution at LG Electronics India, said the inclusion enhances the kids’ content offering while aligning with the brand’s focus on safe, high-quality, and free-to-access viewing experiences.
With this launch, Toonz Media Group is positioning itself at the intersection of content and technology, leveraging FAST platforms to expand its reach and redefine how children’s entertainment is consumed in a connected, on-demand world.
