Tokyo Summer Olympics 2020 gets new dates to be held in the next year; 2021 from July 23 to August 8. The decision is taken by International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Tokyo Games organizing Committee, the Tokyo Metropolitan and the Japanese Governments.
Initially they were to be organised from July 24 to August 9 of this year. They were postponed due to growing pandemic coronavirus after which the deadly virus claimed many lives globally. The games were also moved in the year 1916, 1940 and 1944 due to World War 1 and 2.
