English football tourney the Premier League will bring an immersive fan experience to Mumbai’s GamingCon Bharat on October 17-18, combining football, gaming and entertainment through a dedicated PL Zone featuring the competition’s iconic trophy, all 20 clubs’ home kits, interactive gaming activities, a Hall of Fame experience and live match screenings.
The Premier League is England’s top-flight football competition, featuring 20 clubs competing against each other during a season. The matches are available to watch in 1.2 billion homes across 189 countries and the League uses the reach of the competition to engage fans, communities and partners in the UK and around the world.
The PL experience will extend into the evening with live match screenings on a giant screen.
Supported by JioStar, the Premier League’s official broadcast partner in India, the viewing parties are designed to recreate the atmosphere of watching matches together.
The two-day event in Mumbai is expected to bring together more than 20,000 people from the gaming, esports and entertainment communities, a press statement from GamingCon Bharat stated yesterday.
The Premier League said the initiative will offer Indian fans new ways to connect with the competition while creating a distinctive experience for existing supporters.
At the GamingCon Bharat centre of the Premier League Zone will be the official Premier League trophy, giving visitors an opportunity to see the silverware up close.
The zone will also feature a display of all 20 Premier League clubs’ home kits and a Premier League Hall of Fame experience.
Fans will be able to take part in physical and virtual activations from EA SPORTS and other Premier League partners, bringing together football and gaming.
Fans can access the viewing parties through the PL Pass, available online through the District App and at the event. The first 1,000 pass holders will receive an exclusive Premier League goodie bag, along with entry to GamingCon Bharat and the viewing parties.
Premier League India Managing Director Hrishikesh Shende said India has a “significant and rapidly growing” PL fanbase and that GamingCon Bharat brings football, gaming and entertainment together in one space.
He said the Premier League Zone, trophy, interactive experiences and viewing parties would offer new ways for people discovering the League to engage with it while giving loyal fans a distinctive experience.
The initiative builds on the Premier League’s engagement with its Indian fanbase.
Since opening its Mumbai office in 2025, the League said it has strengthened its presence in the country through fan experiences, grassroots football and community initiatives.
