‘The Traitors’ India premieres on Prime Video

The game of deception is officially on, and no one is safe. Prime Video has dropped the much-awaited Indian adaptation of ‘The Traitors’, and it’s already proving to be one of the fiercest, most unpredictable reality shows of the year.

With 20 well-known celebrity contestants stepping into a world where trust is a liability and betrayal is a strategy, ‘The Traitors’ is here to redefine your Thursday night binge.

As seen in the fiery new promo, the series throws together an eclectic mix of names from across the entertainment spectrum—Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed. Each of them enters the game with a mission—but only a few know the truth.

At the heart of ‘The Traitors’ lies one question: who can you really trust? The game thrives on suspicion, manipulation, and ruthless strategy, and nowhere is that more evident than in the infamous ‘Circle of Shaq’ a high-stakes arena where accusations fly, alliances crumble, and survival is a mind game. Maheep Kapoor’s explosive confrontation, Apoorva’s pointed suspicions, and other clashes reveal just how intense the emotional and psychological toll can be.

The show doesn’t shy away from emotional upheaval. There are tears, heated arguments, crumbling friendships, and deeply personal betrayals. It’s not just about who plays the game best—it’s about who survives the social warfare within. With every episode, the circle tightens and trust becomes an illusion.

Produced by BBC Studios India Productions and adapted from the globally celebrated format by IDTV, ‘The Traitors’ is brought to Indian audiences in collaboration with All3Media International. The original format has already won both BAFTA and Emmy awards for its unique blend of reality TV drama and psychological thriller—and the Indian version keeps that tension alive, with desi drama layered on top.

‘The Traitors’ is now streaming on Prime Video, with the first three episodes already out. New episodes drop every Thursday at 8pm, so the guessing game only gets harder from here.

One thing is certain: inside the castle and especially at the Circle of Shaq, it’s ‘Dhokha Time’. And in this world of lies and betrayal, the only way to win… is to deceive.
