The second instalment of the survival-based streaming show ‘The Society’ is set to return following the strong response to its debut season, with comedian and reality television personality Munawar Faruqui once again leading the show. The upcoming season promises a more intense and psychologically charged experience for participants and viewers alike.
According to a UNI report, the new season will also feature digital content creator Shreya Kalra as co-host, adding a fresh dynamic to the format. The teaser introduces a world that appears refined on the surface but reveals a fragile structure beneath, where civility conceals survival instincts and ambition drives conflict among contestants.
The preview highlights a series of intense physical and psychological challenges, including combat-style tasks, head-shaving sequences, emotional breakdowns and heated confrontations among participants. Munawar is positioned as the central authority figure, acting as the judge, jury and executioner who governs the system and determines the fate of contestants.
The show’s visual treatment further heightens its dramatic tone, featuring stark white industrial corridors illuminated by red and blue neon lighting, while mysterious figures wearing crimson animal masks add to the atmosphere of tension and intrigue. Symbols such as the lion, deer and rat are used to represent different hierarchies within the game’s social order.
The teaser underscores that survival in this “Society” is challenging, but maintaining dominance is even more difficult, ending with the central question — “Who will be the next Baazigar?” The upcoming season will stream exclusively on JioHotstar.
