Christopher Nolan’s latest film, ‘The Odyssey’, has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office within its first week of release, becoming the highest-grossing Hollywood film of the year in the country.
Released worldwide on July 17, the epic action-adventure opened to a strong response from audiences. The film collected more than Rs 70 crore during its opening weekend and continued its successful run to cross the Rs 100 crore milestone in just seven days.
According to a PTI report from New Delhi today, ‘The Odyssey’ is now Nolan’s second film after ‘Oppenheimer’ to earn over Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office.
The film features an ensemble cast led by Matt Damon as Odysseus, alongside Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway and Charlize Theron in key roles.
Directed by Christopher Nolan, ‘The Odyssey’ is based on the legendary Greek epic and has received a strong response from moviegoers, helping it become the biggest Hollywood release in India this year.
