‘The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond’ is set to make its digital debut on ZEE5 on May 8, following its theatrical run. With its OTT release, the film is expected to reach a wider audience by bringing its narrative directly into homes across the country.
The film moves beyond its predecessor to focus on the personal journeys of three young women from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala. While their lives appear unconnected at first, they are ultimately bound by shared experiences that begin with trust and emotional connection but gradually unfold into manipulation and a loss of agency.
At its core, the film explores how emotional vulnerability can be exploited, turning relationships into spaces of control rather than freedom. Through these intertwined narratives, it attempts to underline that such situations are not isolated incidents, but realities that could affect individuals across different backgrounds and regions.
Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film features performances by Aditi Bhatia, Ulka Gupta, and Aishwarya Ojha in lead roles. Aashin A. Shah and Ravichand Nallappa serve as co-producers, with Amarnath Jha and Vipul Amrutlal Shah also contributing to the screenplay.
Kaveri Das, Business Head – Hindi at ZEE5, said the platform remains focused on presenting strong narratives with context and responsibility, adding that the film’s digital premiere will help it connect with viewers nationwide. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah noted that the intent behind the film is to go beyond storytelling and prompt audiences to reflect on complex social realities, calling it a conversation starter rather than just a cinematic experience.
Director Kamakhya Narayan Singh emphasised that the film is rooted in human emotions and real-life experiences, aiming to portray sensitive situations with honesty and care so that audiences can relate to the characters’ journeys.
‘The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond’ will be available not just in Hindi but also in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, further expanding its reach across linguistic audiences.
