The Hindu Group (THG), the publisher of The Hindu, BusinessLine, Sportstar and Frontline, has named Karthik Nagappan as Head of Brand.
He will be in charge of the 144-year-old publishing house’s brand and consumer connect initiatives.
Karthik is a marketing expert with over 15 years of experience in brand strategy, corporate communications, and reader engagement initiatives.
He previously worked for The Times of India in Chennai and The New Indian Express in Chennai.
Speaking on the appointment, Suresh Balakrishna, Chief Revenue Officer of THG, said, “2023 is going to be an exciting year. The print industry will enter an exciting phase in which we will drive significant synergy in our consumer-focused initiatives across platforms. Karthik has extensive experience in strategic planning, consumer research, new product launches, campaign management, and cross-channel communication, with a strong emphasis on digital and content marketing.
