‘Tell Me Lies’ will conclude with its third season, bringing the curtain down on the popular relationship drama, showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer has confirmed.
According to a UNI report, Oppenheimer shared the update on Instagram, revealing that the latest episode marks the series finale. She noted that the ending had always been part of the creative vision of the writing team and expressed pride in delivering a complete and intentional conclusion to the story.
“After three amazing seasons of ‘Tell Me Lies’, tonight’s episode will be the series finale. This was always the ending my writing team and I had in mind, and we are insanely proud of it,” Oppenheimer wrote, adding that while there had been discussions about extending the narrative, the team ultimately felt the story had reached its natural conclusion. She described the decision as bittersweet but said the priority remained maintaining the show’s quality and offering viewers a meaningful ending.
The series, which streams on Hulu, is based on the novel by Carola Lovering and first premiered in September 2022. It explores the turbulent and often destructive relationship between two college students, while also delving into the complicated dynamics of their friend group and the emotional consequences of their choices.
Featuring a strong ensemble cast, the show stars Grace Van Patten, Jackson White, Catherine Missal, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, Benjamin Wadsworth, Alicia Crowder and Tom Ellis in key roles, portraying characters caught in intense personal and interpersonal conflicts.
With its third season set to provide a complete narrative arc, the series will conclude its exploration of love, obsession and betrayal with a carefully crafted ending, offering fans a definitive closure to its intricate and emotionally charged storyline.
