The teaser of the upcoming series ‘Space Gen: Chandrayaan’, headlined by Nakuul Mehta and Shriya Saran, was unveiled on Tuesday, giving audiences their first look at a story inspired by India’s Chandrayaan-2 mission.
The series promises to explore not just the scientific achievement but also the human emotions, challenges, and resilience behind one of the country’s most ambitious space endeavours.
According to an ANI report, ‘Space Gen: Chandrayaan’ brings together an ensemble cast that includes Prakash Belawadi, Danish Sait, and Gopal Datt, alongside the lead actors. The teaser hints at a narrative rooted in determination and quiet strength, focusing on the people who carried the weight of the mission as much as the mission itself.
Director Anant Singh, in a press note, described India’s lunar mission as a powerful story of ambition and perseverance. He said the team was clear from the beginning that the heart of the series lay in the individuals behind the effort. Calling the mission a story of pride, faith, and the ability to rise above failure, Singh expressed pride in presenting the series in collaboration with JioHotstar and TVF, hoping it allows viewers to experience both a historic moment and the human courage that defined it.
Nakuul Mehta shared that what drew him to the project was the honesty of the script. He noted that the series does not merely celebrate success but also acknowledges the grit required to come back after setbacks. According to him, portraying that emotional journey was deeply challenging and stayed with him beyond the shoot. Mehta added that the entire team approached the project with respect, recognising that the story belongs to the nation, and said he is proud to be part of a show that captures a defining chapter in India’s history.
‘Space Gen: Chandrayaan’ is set to premiere on JioHotstar on January 23, 2026. With its focus on resilience, ambition, and human emotion, the series aims to offer audiences a meaningful and inspiring look at India’s space journey beyond the headlines.
