Tata Play has expanded its regional entertainment portfolio with the launch of Tata Play Odia Manoranjan, a new platform service aimed at offering a comprehensive, ad-free Odia entertainment experience. Designed for Odia-speaking audiences, the service brings together a wide range of movies, television shows, Jatras, devotional content and music under a single destination.
According to a press release, the new service is powered by Sidharth TV, one of Odisha’s most popular Odia-language general entertainment channels, known for its culturally rooted and premium programming. Tata Play Odia Manoranjan offers an extensive catalogue that includes over 180 movies, more than 100 Jatras, around 20 television shows and a vast library of over 12,000 songs spanning devotional, folk, film and non-film genres, catering to viewers across age groups.
Available on both television and the Tata Play Mobile App, the service promises seamless access across screens with no ad interruptions. Subscribers can watch 24×7 ad-free Odia content on a full-screen SD channel, making it a convenient and immersive viewing option. Priced at ₹2 per day, Tata Play Odia Manoranjan is available on Channel No. 1755, targeting strong regional viewership, particularly in Tier 3 and Tier 4 markets.
Commenting on the launch, Pallavi Puri, Chief Commercial and Content Officer at Tata Play, said that language and lived culture continue to drive strong viewer loyalty in India. She noted that Tata Play Odia Manoranjan brings together the many expressions of Odia entertainment—from films and theatre to devotional programming and music—into one clearly defined home, further strengthening the company’s regional content offering.
Sitaram Agrawalla, Owner and Chairman of Sidharth TV Network, said the collaboration builds on decades of trust Odia families have placed in Sidharth’s content. He added that the platform is not just about wider distribution but about honouring viewer preferences by offering a seamless, ad-free experience that reflects Odia language, culture and viewing habits.
With the addition of Tata Play Odia Manoranjan, Tata Play continues to broaden its range of platform services across entertainment and infotainment genres, including regional, devotional, kids and learning content, reinforcing its focus on culturally relevant programming for diverse audiences across the country.
