Tata Play, in partnership with ReelDrama, has launched a new Assamese entertainment service called ‘Asomiya Monoronjan.’ This platform will provide a diverse selection of Assamese content, including movies, original shows, music, and devotional content. Notably, this collaboration marks the first-ever venture of an OTT platform into linear TV viewing, sources reported.
The service will feature renowned Assamese actors and offer a wide range of genres and titles. Additionally, it will showcase original shows for the first time on Indian television. Tata Play’s Chief Commercial and Content Officer, Pallavi Puri, expressed excitement about expanding their partnership with ReelDrama and bringing Assamese entertainment to a broader audience.
ReelDrama Director, Kuheli Dasgupta, emphasized the aim of providing a platform for talented Assamese filmmakers and reaching a wider audience nationwide. Subscribers can access Tata Play ‘Asomiya Monoronjan’ for Rs 45 per month on channel 1955, offering uninterrupted family entertainment content without any ad breaks. This service is part of Tata Play’s comprehensive range of over 40 entertainment and infotainment value-added services suitable for all age groups.
