The Tamil film ‘Star’ has launched its digital journey on Prime Video. Directed and written by Elan, the movie is produced by BVS N Prasad and Sreenidhi Sagar under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Rise East Entertainment, respectively.
The film features Kavin in the lead role, along with Lal, Aaditi Pohankar, Preity Mukhundhan, and Geetha Kailasam in pivotal roles, ANI reported.
‘Star’ narrates the journey of Kalai, a determined young boy from a lower-middle-class family, who aspires to become a celebrated star in the Tamil film industry. Central to the story is the unbreakable bond between Kalai and his father, Pandian, a photographer. Their relationship provides solace, purpose, and redemption as they navigate the struggles of daily life. Despite numerous challenges due to his humble origins, Kalai remains steadfast in his pursuit.
Director Elan dedicated ‘Star’ to his father, Stills Pandian, in a heartfelt social media post, requesting viewers not to reveal the film’s three surprises. The film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, adding to its appeal. ‘Star’ is now available for streaming on Prime Video.
