FreeDish invites applications for MPEG2 slots; some TV channels to leave

Even as some pay TV channels, riding the free platform of FreeDish (but were otherwise a pay channel), decided to quit the platform owing to regulatory restrictions, the FTA DTH platform has invited applications for allotment of vacant MPEG-2 slots for the period from April 2025 to March 2026.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious. So far Invesco has been hammered for demanding an EGM. What is Zee upto? Ofcourse my lawyer community knows better!
