TAG Video Systems, a global leader in software-based IP end-to-end workflow monitoring, deep probing, and real-time visualization, has announced the appointment of Oliver Gappa as Sales Director for DACH, MENA, and Eastern Europe.
With over two decades of experience in the broadcast and media technology sector, Gappa is set to strengthen TAG’s presence across these markets and support customers with agile, reliable, and future-ready solutions.
The announcement was made through an official press release, highlighting TAG’s continued commitment to expanding its leadership team with seasoned professionals who bring both technical expertise and strong industry relationships.
Gappa’s professional journey covers a blend of established enterprises and fast-growing startups, giving him a unique insight into the rapidly evolving needs of the media and entertainment industry. Most recently, he served as Sales Director EMEA at Ateliere, where he spearheaded SaaS-driven growth initiatives for live production and content delivery solutions. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at LucidLink, Telestream, and Rohde & Schwarz, where he was instrumental in expanding regional market presence, building reseller networks, and managing multimillion-dollar revenues, all while nurturing long-term customer partnerships.
Welcoming him to the company, Kevin Joyce, TAG’s Zero Friction® Officer, said, “Oliver’s blend of commercial acumen, technical insight, and trusted industry relationships makes him an invaluable addition to TAG. His leadership will ensure customers in DACH, MENA, and Eastern Europe can maximize the value of their infrastructures and operate with greater efficiency and confidence using TAG’s platform.”
Expressing his enthusiasm, Gappa noted, “TAG’s customer-first approach and flexible software-defined model are perfectly suited to the challenges of today’s media landscape. I’m excited to partner with broadcasters, content owners, and service providers across these regions to help them future-proof their operations and create new growth opportunities.”
Industry professionals will also have the chance to meet Oliver Gappa at IBC 2025, scheduled from September 12–15 in Amsterdam, where TAG will showcase how its platform enables enhanced video quality, greater operational flexibility, and real-time insights that benefit both technical performance and business outcomes.
