In a major leadership move, IndiaDotcom Digital Private Limited (IDPL), formerly Zee Digital that was the digital wing of the Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL), has announced the appointment of Sushant S Mohan as its Chief Editor and Business Manager.
This dual-role position places him at the forefront of both editorial excellence and business innovation, positioning IDPL for a new phase of aggressive growth and digital transformation, a company press release stated.
Sushant’s new mandate involves steering the editorial vision and content strategy across all digital platforms under the IDPL umbrella, while simultaneously leading monetisation, innovation, and expansion efforts across India’s fast-evolving media landscape.
A digital media veteran since 2008, Mohan has been instrumental in crafting forward-thinking content ecosystems and revenue-first strategies for some of the country’s leading media organisations. Most recently, he served as CEO of DNA – Daily News & Analysis, where he successfully pivoted the brand to a digital-first model.
His experience also spans senior editorial roles at ZMCL, Opera News, News18, BBC, Fever 104, Red FM, All India Radio and Doordarshan where he was responsible for shaping content strategy and building impactful editorial teams.
Speaking on his new role, Sushant said, “Stepping into this role at IndiaDotcom Digital marks a defining move in my professional journey. It’s both a privilege and an exciting challenge to lead one of India’s most influential digital news platforms at a time of such dynamic change.”
Karan Abhishek Singh, CEO of Zee Media Corporation Limited, expressed strong confidence in Sushant’s leadership, noting, “Sushant brings a rare blend of editorial acumen and business insight. His proven track record in leading digital transformations and monetisation strategies will be instrumental as IndiaDotcom Digital enters a new phase of growth.”
