‘Suraag 2.0’ returns soon on DD National

Sri Adhikari Brothers and Prasar Bharati are bringing back the popular crime thriller ‘Suraag’ with a new version titled ‘Suraag 2.0’.

Doordarshan has released the first look of the show, which is slated to air soon on DD National.The original ‘Suraag’ aired on DD National and featured Sudesh Berry as Inspector Bharat. The crime series was known for its format of presenting a new case and investigation in each episode.

According to a press release issued by Sri Adhikari Brothers and Prasar Bharati on September 2, 2026, ‘Suraag 2.0’ will feature Sudesh Berry along with Sai Ketan Rao and Jigyasa Singh. The new series will retain the spirit of the original while presenting the story with a contemporary treatment.

The revival brings Sri Adhikari Brothers back together with Doordarshan, a platform that played an important role in the production house’s early journey in Indian television.

Sri Adhikari Brothers MD Kailasnath Adhikari said the show brings together the nostalgia of the original with contemporary entertainment. He also said the production house is proud of its long association with Prasar Bharati.

Director and creator Ravi Adhikari said ‘Suraag 2.0’ aims to bring the spirit of the original show to a new generation while retaining the elements that made it special.The show is slated to air soon on DD National.
