Disney+ Hotstar is gearing up to take viewers on a captivating journey with its upcoming series, ‘Sultan Of Delhi.’
This power-packed series, based on Arnab Ray’s book ‘Sultan of Delhi: Ascension,’ combines the allure of 1960s India, the pursuit of power, and the heartwarming essence of friendship.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment and directed by Milan Luthria, with co-direction and co-writing by Suparn Verma, ‘Sultan Of Delhi’ is all set to make its grand debut on October 13, 2023, offering a larger-than-life mass entertainment experience.
The show boasts a stellar cast featuring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Sharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak, Nishant Dahiya, and talented actresses Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi, and Mehreen Pirzada, forming a perfect ensemble, UNI reported from New Delhi.
At the heart of the series is the heartwarming on-screen friendship shared by Tahir Raj Bhasin and Anjumm Shharma, reminiscent of the iconic Jai-Veeru bond. They depict a close-knit relationship that transcends all boundaries and stands unwavering in the face of adversity. Interestingly, this on-screen camaraderie extends off-screen as well, as Tahir Raj Bhasin shares a strong bond with his on-screen counterpart, Bangali (Anjumm Shharma).
Tahir Raj Bhasin shared his thoughts, stating, “Anjumm Shharma is an instinctive actor and someone who internalizes a lot of the role. We bonded instantly and chatted about food, travel, and our love of music. After you spend a year shooting, the best thing you can have in a co-star is someone who respects your process of acting, is willing to collaborate, and brings his best to the table. I got all this from Bangali.”
‘Sultan Of Delhi’ promises to deliver a mesmerizing blend of nostalgia, friendship, and the enchantment of the 1960s. Mark your calendars, as the series is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar starting October 13, 2023. Don’t miss this captivating journey into the heart of India’s past and the bonds that shape its future.
