Story TV by Eloelo Group, India’s leading microdrama platform with over 2 crore users and home to more than 300 microdramas, is set to make history with the launch of India’s first-ever microdrama reality show titled ‘Sach Ya Kalesh’.
The non-fiction reality series introduces a pioneering new format in Indian entertainment — a candid, vertical-style reality show that brings the drama, emotions, and complexities of real relationships straight to mobile screens.
Hosted by celebrity matchmaker Sima Taparia, the show takes an unscripted and heartwarming look at modern relationships. Living up to its tagline “Har Relationship Ka Asli Test” — the show centers around a lie detector test that couples must take to reveal the truth behind their relationships. Each episode explores how the test results affect their bond and helps them navigate through the toughest conversations, with Sima Taparia guiding them through moments of truth, trust, and turmoil.
According to a Story TV press release, the show features nine real-life couples from across India, each putting their relationship to the ultimate test. As the drama unfolds, Sima Taparia engages with the participants, helping them decide whether to continue or end their relationship — all in real time, on camera. The vertical microdrama format has been conceptualised by Story TV and produced by Aarambh Entertainment, making it India’s first attempt at merging reality TV with short-form, mobile-first storytelling.
Speaking about the concept, Saurabh Pandey, Founder and CEO, Story TV, said, “Today marks a new beginning for the Indian entertainment and microdrama industry. With microdramas already becoming a mainstream choice for millions of viewers, we are taking the next big leap with Sach Ya Kalesh — India’s first non-fiction reality microdrama. The show pushes the boundaries of storytelling by blending unscripted reality TV into a crisp vertical format designed for today’s mobile-first audiences. This is TV 2.0 — vertical, relatable, spontaneous, raw and right in the palm of your hand.”
Sharing her experience of hosting the show, Sima Taparia said, “Modern relationships are complex and, from my experience, long-lasting relationships take a lot of work. When I first heard about the concept of ‘Sach Ya Kalesh’, I found it refreshing and much needed in today’s time. The format was so innovative that I had a great time shooting for it. The couples are real, their emotions are real, and love, fights, and breakups happen in real time — what the audience will see is pure and honest human emotion.”
Adding to this, Abhishek Rege, Founder of Aarambh Entertainment, commented, “Microdramas are fast becoming an integral part of the entertainment ecosystem. Bringing Story TV’s vision to life with Sach Ya Kalesh has been an exciting journey. This new format is designed for a generation that lives on vertical content and spends most of their entertainment hours on mobile phones. Story TV is truly leading this revolution.”
Episodes of ‘Sach Ya Kalesh’ will begin streaming daily from November 2, 2025, exclusively on the Story TV app. The launch marks Story TV’s continued push toward innovative and experimental formats, aiming to make microdramas a mainstream storytelling medium.
In line with this vision, Story TV plans to release over 800 microdramas in the next one year and expand its user base to 100 million. The platform recently became India’s most downloaded app in October 2025, ranking number one on the Play Store. It also announced a partnership with Balaji Telefilms to co-produce a new slate of exciting microdramas.
