The grandeur, glamour, and emotion of Indian cinema’s most celebrated night are all set to unfold on television screens this weekend. The 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 with Gujarat Tourism, held in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad, was a spectacular evening that shimmered with star power, nostalgia, and cinematic brilliance. The much-anticipated telecast is scheduled to premiere on 9th November 2025 at 9 pm across Zee TV, Zing, and Zest.
Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, along with Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul, the evening brought together the perfect blend of entertainment, humour, and heartfelt moments. From dazzling performances to emotional tributes, the show promises to capture every unforgettable highlight of the grand celebration.
Celebrating 70 glorious years of cinematic excellence, the 2025 edition of the Filmfare Awards was not only an ode to contemporary cinema but also a nostalgic journey through India’s film history. The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Zeenat Aman and Shyam Benegal for their remarkable contributions to Hindi cinema.
Adding to the evening’s splendour, a special segment titled ‘Cine Icon Awards’ paid homage to the legends who shaped Indian cinema through the decades. The tribute spanned from icons like Bimal Roy, Dilip Kumar, and Meena Kumari of the 1950s, to Nutan from the 1960s; Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Ramesh Sippy from the 1970s; Sridevi from the 1980s; and Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Karan Johar representing the golden era of the 1990s.
One of the most talked-about highlights of the night was the heartwarming reunion of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, who recreated some of their most beloved on-screen moments from ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, and ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Their unmatched chemistry lit up the stage, taking audiences on a trip down memory lane.
The night also witnessed powerhouse performances from some of Bollywood’s biggest stars. Abhishek Bachchan paid a lively tribute to his father, performing an energetic medley of classics such as ‘Apni Toh Jaise Taise’, ‘Khaike Paan Banaras Wala’, and ‘Jumma Chumma’. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar brought unmatched energy with a performance that featured chartbusters like ‘Tum Dil Ki Dhadkan Mein Rehte Ho’, ‘Tip Tip Barsa Pani’, and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
The stage continued to dazzle with diverse acts celebrating India’s cinematic and cultural spirit. Ananya Panday added a Gujarati twist to her performance, beautifully merging Bollywood flair with the state’s traditional elements. Kriti Sanon paid a glamorous tribute to Zeenat Aman, recreating some of her timeless songs, while Siddhant Chaturvedi electrified the audience with a high-energy act dedicated to Bollywood’s legendary dancers.
Adding to the spectacle, the Ahmedabad skyline came alive with a breathtaking drone show that traced the evolution of Hindi cinema through the decades — a fitting visual tribute to 70 years of Filmfare’s legacy.
Viewers can also look forward to some of the evening’s most touching moments during the telecast, including the audience joining Shah Rukh Khan in wishing Amitabh Bachchan a happy birthday, and the heartfelt scenes of Ravi Kishan and Abhishek Bachchan receiving their first-ever Filmfare Awards.
With its blend of nostalgia, performance, and cinematic celebration, the 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025 with Gujarat Tourism promises to be an unforgettable experience. Tune in on 9th November at 9 PM, only on Zee TV, Zing, and Zest, to relive Bollywood’s grandest night of the year.
