Spotify has elevated senior marketing leader Citra Marina to the role of Head of Marketing, Southeast Asia, effective February 2026, as the audio streaming giant sharpens its focus on brand growth and subscriber expansion across the region’s fast-growing markets.
The development was shared through a LinkedIn post update where Marina announced her new role and expanded mandate. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for driving brand visibility, user acquisition and subscriber growth across Spotify’s Southeast Asian footprint, while working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into culturally relevant, data-led marketing strategies.
As Head of Marketing, Southeast Asia, Marina will oversee end-to-end campaign execution and strategic partnerships across markets, with a strong emphasis on localisation and impact. Her role also involves aligning regional marketing efforts with Spotify’s broader global objectives, ensuring consistency while responding to the nuances of diverse consumer markets in the region.
Prior to this elevation, Marina served as Associate Marketing Director, where she oversaw marketing for Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In that role, she led regional and emerging market strategies across the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong, while also heading product and premium marketing initiatives for the wider Southeast Asia region. Her work during this period focused on scaling adoption and deepening engagement across both free and paid tiers of the platform.
Since joining Spotify in August 2022, Marina has held multiple leadership roles, including Regional Marketing Manager for Southeast Asia.
