Sony BBC Earth announces Republic Day anthology ‘India@9’

Sony BBC Earth is preparing to make Republic Day extra special for its viewers by adding a special Indian twist to its content lineup.

The channel is bringing forth ‘India@9,’ a special anthology that premieres content depicting India as you have never seen it before, to take people on a unique journey through the wilderness of India.

As per a press release, Sony BBC Earth will transport viewers to the Valley of the Flowers in the West Himalayas and young turtles hatching on India’s east coast. In addition to entering the kitchen and debunking superfood myths, the channel is launching ‘Healthy Tales,’ a mix of health and food-focused shows.

The Republic Day special anthology – India@9 is a mix of captivating series such as ‘Hidden India’ and ‘India’s Deadliest Snakes’. Beautiful landscapes abound in India, captivating visitors. Hidden India will take viewers on a journey across India, depicting the country’s stunning wildlife, ancient culture, and natural beauty.

‘India’s Deadliest Snakes’, on the other hand, focuses on educating people about the most misunderstood species – snakes – to reduce their fatality rate. The series delves deeper into the evolutionary past that explains our primal fear of these reptiles, deconstructing myths and customs, and explaining why anti-venom is frequently ineffective.

Another intriguing anthology titled ‘Healthy Tales’ will be released by the channel. It is a collection of shows that help people see health in a new light. ‘The Truth About Healthy Eating’ delves deeper into a topic that affects everyone, whether it’s dispelling myths about superfoods or debunking mineral water myths.

The show ‘The Truth About Calories’ reveals facts that challenge people’s beliefs about calories and food. It encourages them to eat healthily rather than focusing on fad diets. The next show, ‘Eat To Live,’ will unravel the mysteries of radical diets and lifestyle choices with an intriguing twist.

In ‘Chef Vs Science,’ scientist Mark Miodownik reveals the science behind the world’s most delicious dishes as well as the incredible transformations that food goes through in the kitchen. In another series, ‘Cook Clever,’ viewers will see how everyone can help the environment by being more conscious of food waste.

It aims to alter people’s cooking and food shopping habits by forcing them to calculate the required quantity.

Check out the intriguing lineup of anthology shows that Sony BBC Earth will debut in January!

On January 23, tune in to Sony BBC Earth to watch a Republic special Anthology called ‘India @9’ at 9:00 PM and ‘Healthy Tales’ at 8:00 PM.
