Actor Kartik Aaryan’s 2018 rom-com hit ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ is all set to return to cinemas, offering fans a chance to relive one of the most popular youth entertainers of the past decade. The film will be re-released in theatres on March 6, 2026, marking eight years since its original debut.
According to an ANI report, the makers confirmed the re-release, generating excitement among moviegoers who remember the film’s memorable dialogues, chart-topping music and breezy storytelling. Kartik Aaryan also shared the announcement on his Instagram account on Monday, posting a special video from the film to commemorate the milestone. “This Friday… Relive the laughter and emotions once again on the big screen! #SonuKeTituKiSweety re-releases in theatres on 6th March!” he wrote.
Originally released in February 2018, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ emerged as a surprise box-office success and played a pivotal role in strengthening Kartik’s position among young audiences. His portrayal of Sonu — a fiercely loyal friend navigating trust issues and emotional dilemmas — struck a chord with viewers and became widely discussed at the time.
Directed by Luv Ranjan and produced by Luv Films and T-Series Films, the film also featured Nushrratt Bharuccha and Sunny Singh in key roles. The story revolved around the clash between friendship and romantic love, presented in a light-hearted yet emotionally engaging manner.
Over the years, the film has cultivated a loyal fan base, with its songs and punchlines continuing to circulate on social media and streaming platforms. The re-release offers audiences an opportunity to experience the film’s humour and emotional beats once again on the big screen.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan was last seen in ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, which also starred Ananya Panday.
