NDTV has announced the appointment of Siddhartha Sharma as Executive Editor – NDTV Auto, marking a significant new chapter in its reimagined auto vertical.
Every engine hums a story some about power, others about precision — but the most compelling ones speak of purpose and innovation that moves people, not just machines. This sentiment drives NDTV Auto’s new direction under Siddhartha’s leadership, focusing on the “NEXT” in the auto industry.
According to a press release, Siddhartha brings over 14 years of diverse experience that spans journalism, creativity, and technology. A creator, anchor, and strategist, he has built his career at the intersection of storytelling and speed — curating stories that go beyond horsepower to explore ideas that shape the future of mobility.
From ET Now’s Technoholik to TV Today’s ‘Gadgets & Gizmos‘ and ‘Good News Today‘, Siddhartha has crafted narratives that inform, inspire, and offer perspective. At Network18, he launched India’s first digital-first auto and tech show on CNN-News18, revolutionizing how audiences engage with innovation. His stint at The Quint saw him pioneer new-age formats like VR reviews, mobile-first storytelling, and selfie interviews — redefining how journalism meets immersive experience.
During his tenure at Jagran New Media, Siddhartha led some of India’s most ambitious branded storytelling campaigns for global giants including Apple, Hyundai, Porsche, BMW, Samsung, and Ford, blending data, design, and emotion with effortless creativity. His recent global experience in Canada further enriched his expertise in digital strategy, client development, and cross-cultural communication.
“Siddhartha brings a rare fusion of creative instinct and deep knowledge of the auto industry to NDTV,” said Rahul Kanwal, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, NDTV. “He doesn’t just review cars — he explores culture, design, and the emotion behind innovation, bringing fresh perspective and purpose to every story.”
Expressing his excitement, Siddhartha Sharma said, “NDTV has been the benchmark for credible, insightful, and meaningful auto journalism in India. To join NDTV Auto at a time when mobility is being redefined by technology, design, and sustainability is exciting, and I look forward to this journey.”
At NDTV, Siddhartha will spearhead the transformation of NDTV Auto into a dynamic platform that’s as intuitive and intelligent as the machines it celebrates — one that tells stories about mobility, sustainability, design, and discovery, anchored in imagination and integrity.
With his appointment, NDTV strengthens its vision to go beyond performance and power — delving deeper into how mobility, design, and innovation are shaping the way a new India moves, thinks, and aspires.
