Prime Video announced the much-anticipated premiere date for the riveting noir series ‘Shehar Lakhot‘ set to captivate audiences starting November 30.
Crafted by Offroad Films and helmed by acclaimed director Navdeep Singh, the series promises an immersive journey into a complex narrative woven with intrigue and suspense.
The show, co-written and co-created by Singh and Devika Bhagat, revolves around the gripping tale of a man compelled to confront his past in the fictional town of Lakhot.
Featuring stellar performances by Priyanshu Painyuli, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Kubbra Sait in leading roles, ‘Shehar Lakhot’ delves into a labyrinth of secrets and power struggles.
The synopsis teases a perilous narrative, where the protagonist finds himself entangled in a lethal game amid a city embroiled in conflict, each faction driven by concealed motives and agendas, PTI reported from Mumbai.
Director Navdeep Singh expressed his enthusiasm for the project, describing it as a labor of love portraying human complexities within the enigmatic city of Lakhot. Singh, known for his directorial prowess in acclaimed movies like ‘Manorama Six Feet Under’ and ‘NH10‘, expressed excitement about partnering with Prime Video for this enthralling series.
Nikhil Madhok, Head of Hindi Originals at Prime Video India, highlighted the widespread appeal of genres like crime and thriller. He lauded the collaboration with Singh and Bhagat, emphasizing their shared vision of presenting compelling and diverse stories to a global audience.
