Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor’s latest action thriller, Deva, has stormed the global box office, earning a total of Rs.34.01 crore in its opening weekend, according to the film’s producers.
Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, known for Malayalam hits like ‘Salute’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’, Deva hit theatres on January 31, 2025. The film, produced by Roy Kapur Films in collaboration with Zee Studios, continues to gain momentum with impressive earnings, PTI reported.
The film grossed Rs.11.75 crore on its third day, pushing its three-day total to Rs.34.01 crore (GBOC). Zee Studios shared a celebratory post on social media, stating, “Deva’s rise continues. #Deva in cinemas now, book your tickets!”
Billed as an “action-packed roller-coaster ride full of thrill and drama,” ‘Deva’ showcases Shahid Kapoor as a brilliant yet rebellious police officer. The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, and Kubbra Sait in pivotal roles.
