In a bid to explore the enduring significance of joint families in Indian society, Sony Entertainment Television is set to launch its latest prime-time show, ‘Mehndi Wala Ghar.’
The series, produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions and co-powered by Fortune Soybean Oil, will air every Monday to Friday at 9:30 p.m., starting January 23.
The narrative revolves around the Agrawal family residing in Ujjain, specifically at Agrawal Sadan, fondly known as Mehndi Wala Ghar. The show delves into the joys, laughter, and togetherness that define the fabric of a joint family, while also exploring the consequences of drifting away from these cherished bonds in the pursuit of individualism and modernization, the channel said in
Led by the compelling performance of Shruti Anand as Mauli, the story follows her determined efforts to reunite the fractured ties within the Agarwal household. The ensemble cast includes notable actors such as Shehzad Shaikh, Vibha Chibber, Kanwarjit Paintal, Karan Mehra, Ravi Gossain, Rushad Rana, Arpit Kapoor, Aastha Choudhary, Gunn Kansara, Ushma Rathod, Khalida Jan, and Reema Vohra, among others.

‘Mehndi Wala Ghar’ is poised to captivate audiences with its compelling storytelling, relatable characters, and insightful portrayal of family subtleties.
The producers hope the show becomes a household favorite, celebrating the strength, love, and complexities of the joint family experience. The series is set to launch on January 23, 2024, and will air exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television every Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM.
